Our next stop, Dunedin, is known to be the ‘Scotland’ of New Zealand and indeed, we find the Scottish accent creeping in a wee bit.
Upon arrival in Christchurch we started tackling the most important task needed before starting our road trip through both islands — finding a suitable camper-van.
After purchasing our home on wheels for the coming weeks and equipped with our road trip guide book we feel ready to start our adventure. First stop is the Banks Peninsula, a rugged headland just 1.5 h away from Christchurch.
